“A Moment in Bloom” is a set of three blooming cactus machine embroidery designs celebrating the fleeting beauty of a flower in bloom. Curving stems, a closed bud and an open flower tell a botanical story, capturing a moment in nature through delicate stitching and softly blended colours.

Pale petals, golden and brown accents, and gentle shades of green give the embroidery a painterly quality. The flowing stems add an Art Nouveau feel to the composition.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

Three coordinating machine embroidery designs:

• Part 1 — Cactus stems: 258 × 154 mm / approximately 10.16 × 6.06 inches.

• Part 2 — Cactus stems with a bud: 256 × 123 mm / approximately 10.08 × 4.84 inches.

• Part 3 — Open cactus flower: 276 × 153 mm / approximately 10.87 × 6.02 inches.

Stitch the designs individually or display them together as a botanical triptych. They can also be used for decorative textiles, bags and clothing, provided the fabric and available embroidery area are suitable.

EMBROIDERY STYLE AND FABRIC

Created in an artistic thread painting style, these designs use subtle shading to bring the botanical details to life.

They are intended for stable, non-stretch woven fabrics such as linen and denim. Other fabrics may be used, but the results will depend on your experience and ability to stabilise the fabric correctly.

A test stitch-out on the same typef fabric is recommended before embroidering your finished item.
